Has anybody Read?

Has anybody read The Shack by Wm. P. Young? Sally W.'s book club is reading it and she recomended it to me. Apparently it is a Christian story of redemption and is a best seller. Opinions?

This book must be the new "buzz" book. I don't think it's an Oprah but I've heard so many people talking about in a viral marketing way. Kind of like how My Big Fat Greek Wedding took off as a movie through word of mouth. I'm putting it on my list.

Mom and I started listening to it on our way up from Kentucky. While I'm sure we just hadn't gotten to the interesting part yet, I quit after a couple cds to watch the first season of "Buffy" in the back of the minivan. I realize this probably decreases my age from 25 to something like 14, but it really wasn't holding me. I can imagine reading the book might be better, as it would go faster. It's also a bit foreboding when you know something bad is going to happen and they keep talking about happy stuff.

(In addition... it's called "THE SHACK" which sounds sooo scary. I'm preferring teen vampires lately.)

I always prefer vampires...of course, I've been contaminated by the Twilight virus. I am, however, reading "The Shack" and I find it overbearing. I feel almost ashamed admitting this, but it's almost like being hit over the head with a hammer. And maybe God would be like that for real, but maybe not...I dunno. I'm halfway thru and not really liking it...

Maybe I'll put it on my list of books to read if bored, have time, and is an available option.
